The departure of an energy or entity

The event

Time:  During the day
Date:   1986
Place:  At work, 24th floor of the A-Tower in the VIC, IAEA, Vienna

Although this was a positive moment, I put this text under “Negative experiences”.

I was 30 years old. I was walking along the corridor. Suddenly, something left me. I knew what it was. It was the fear that I’d been living with since teenage. The fear left me with a sideways movement, departing from me as if it would be an independent entity.

The takeaway

Something can live within us without our realising it. An energy or entity can live inside us and feed on something (like a negative emotion). As soon as we no longer harbour that negative emotion, the entity runs out of food and leaves.

Background

When I was 15 I read a book, a fictional story that frightened me, and the fear stayed with me. I couldn’t get rid of it. It was haunting me, so to speak. I kept trying to fight it. Finally, 15 years later when I was 30, I stopped fighting the fear and submitted to it. A totally new approach. Shortly after that the energy or entity — unidentified — left me.

Thoughts and theories

The type of fear I lived with was a long-term fear, years long. Normally, our fears aren’t long-term. Nonetheless, this raises the question — when we harbour a negative emotion, be it fear or something else, does this attract an energy or entity, who occupies us without our knowledge and feeds upon our negative emotion? Is it happening all the time? As soon as we stop having that negative emotion, which in most cases will be fairly soon, the energy or entity leaves and quickly finds some other energy provider. We remain blissfully unaware of all this.

Of course, the energy or entity lives in our spiritual body, not in our physical body. No doctor is going to find it!

I theorize that the only reason I was aware of its departure is that I had given it house-room for so long.

Afterword

About 20 years after this, I came across an old, second-hand copy of the book. I bought it and read it again. It’s an excellent piece of writing. I don’t know if it won the Pulitzer Prize or the Booker Prize or something, but it should have. I read it from cover to cover. The scary events didn’t frighten me anymore.
