Meeting the shapeless entity

The event

Time:  During the day
Date:  2012
Place:  At work in the Dosimetry Lab at the IAEA Laboratories, Seibersdorf

I was around 55 years old. I was in my small office in the lab. I was indulging in a negative thought, which in turn generated a negative emotion, which I was enjoying.

In the next moment I found myself in a spiritual place, a void, confronting a shapeless blob that dwelt there. This blob was a hideous entity, very evil indeed. It had no particular colour, just a light nondescript shade. It had no eyes, yet it saw my arrival. It had no arms, yet it greeted me by slowly sticking a protrusion, i.e. its tongue, out of one of the apertures at the top of its form.

Although it had no fixed form, it could shift its bulk, and it did so. The slight shift was sickeningly slow. I had the impression of delight. It was probably jumping for joy.

I’ve never consciously been in the presence of such evil.

After some seconds, the encounter was over and I was back, spiritually and physically, in my small office.

The takeaway

The entity does actually exist. Others have seen it; it’s been given a name. It’s a sentient being.

Background

No background.

Thoughts and theories

In her book, “Far Memory”, Joan Grant mentions a shapeless blob. I think it’s the same blob. She calls it by a name. I read the book, but I don’t have it to hand and can’t remember the name.

Merriam-Webster says, “The Hebrew ancestor of the word golem means shapeless mass.” This creature is indeed a shapeless mass. It can’t move from its spot, presumably, because it has no extremities, but it doesn’t need to move. It doesn’t come to us; we go to it.

I think I might have consciously experienced the difference in the passage of time between the physical world and a spiritual plane. I was standing in my office. The encounter with the entity lasted only a few physical seconds. Yet in this time the entity saw my arrival, greeted me by slowly sticking something out of an upper aperture, slowly drawing it back in again, and shifting its bulk. If all this would happen in the physical world, it would take longer.

Why did I meet it? Can’t I have a negative emotion without meeting this dreadful thing? Well, remember — when I was young I met the Lesser Guardian, and that encounter changes things for a person, according to Rudolf Steiner. Other people can have a negative thought, a negative emotion, and they don’t meet this creature. But they haven’t met the Lesser Guardian either, so they’re not in my position, not standing where I’m standing.

I’m glad I had that negative thought, that negative emotion on that day in the office. It gave me this experience. I’m richer for it. It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Go to hell”. I’ve been to hell, one small part of it, and I came back again, and I can tell the story.
